Besides twice winning the Stanley Cup with the Boston Bruins:
- Bobby Orr won a record eight straight Norris Trophies as the league’s best defenseman and completely revolutionized that position.
- He was named to the All Star Team 8 years in a row.
- He remains the only defenseman to have won the league scoring title, which he won twice.
- He also holds the record for most points and assists in a single season by a defenseman.
- Orr also won three consecutive Hart Trophies as the league’s most valuable player
- Most points in one NHL season by a defenseman (139; 1970–71).
- Most assists in one NHL season by a defenseman (102; 1970–71).
- Highest plus/minus in one NHL season (+124; 1970–71).
The City of Boston unveils a statue of Bobby Orr’s goal that won the Stanley Cup forty years ago.
Bobby Orr is so protective of his personal life that many people are inquiring about his death; however Bobby Orr is still very much alive.

Just wanted to wish you well and let you know I was always a big fan off you and the Bruins and still am, Now I have a new grandson and I am teaching him a bit about hockey, although he is very young and is being raised in Ottawa I hope he follows in his grandpa’s footsteps as far as Hockey goes.
