Well did they??
The list of reports that show apparently obvious errors and possibly fraudulent data used by the IPCC keeps piling up.
Note to Reader; this blog is agnostic on the human effects of climate change! I don’t make any claims to understand the statistics and the science behind climate change theory. The purpose of this post isn’t to oppose the theory, instead it is to point out what appears to be guilty behavior and incorrect science conducted for personal and financial gain.
The personal attacks and shouting down of anyone who had questioned global warming theory in any way had aroused suspicions in my mind several years ago. So… it is possible for man-made global warming to be occurring. But we have no data to prove it since the science apparently is junk.
Since the American Newspaper industry is obviously incompetent, I am forced to rely on other sources such as:
The Telegraph; The Indian government has established its own body to monitor the effects of global warming because it “cannot rely” on the United Nations’ Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, the group headed by its own leading scientist Dr R.K Pachauri.
The Telegraph again; The United Nations panel on climate change is facing fresh criticism today as new factual errors and poor sources of evidence are reported in this influential report to government leaders.
Some of these errors include;
- The publication of inaccurate data on the potential of wave power to produce electricity around the world, which was wrongly attributed.
- Examples of statements based on student dissertations, two of which were unpublished.
- More claims that were based on reports produced by environmental pressure groups.
The Times; British Scientist, Robert Watson says IPCC claims about African rainfall reductions due to global warming have no supporting data.
And for Opinions:
HotAir; The IPCC doesn’t do science. They do advocacy, mainly for the idea of international control of energy and manufacturing.
The Globe and Mail; “The global warming movement as we have known it is dead,” the brilliant analyst Walter Russell Mead says in his blog on The American Interest. It was done in by a combination of bad science and bad politics.
