The Minnesota Democratic Party made what I consider the biggest boneheaded move so far in this election season; which is saying a lot!
They sent a poorly thought-out mailing into some Minnesota House district that you have never heard of. This ad shows an unflattering image of a priest wearing a button that says “Ignore the Poor.” The mailing was being used to attack Republican candidate Dan Hall who isn’t even Catholic, but instead is a Protestant Minister.
After being asked about it by several media outlets; the Minnesota Democratic Party refused to apologize for the mailing. They claimed that the mailing is appropriate because Dan Hall opposes more government spending on social programs.
